The Boston Celtics returned to winning ways on Wednesday (PH time), securing a 129-119 victory over the Utah Jazz at Delta Center. Six players scored in double figures for the Celtics, who have now won five of their last six games.
Derrick White led the way for the Celtics, recording 27 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Jaylen Brown also chipped in with 23 points and 10 assists.
It was the first time in 10 games that Brown failed to breach the 30-point mark. He was looking to break the record for most consecutive 30-point games in Celtics history, which he shared with the legendary Larry Bird.
The Celtics had to dig deep after falling behind early against the Jazz. They trailed Utah 31-38 after the first quarter and found themselves in a 59-64 hole at the half. Boston battled back in the third quarter, though, outscoring Utah 40-32 during that period to take a 99-96 advantage entering the final 12 minutes of play.
The Celtics never looked back after that as they improved their record to 20-12. The Jazz fell to 12-20 following that loss.
