The Minnesota Timberwolves bucked early difficulties to eke out a 104-103 victory over the visiting San Antonio Spurs this Monday (PH time) in the NBA regular season at the Target Center.
The Timberwolves stormed back from a 19-point hole in the third quarter, igniting a 33-point surge in the final period to flip the momentum.
Naz Reid buried three timely triples to keep Minnesota within striking distance, trimming the deficit to 85-71 by the end of the third. Minnesota carried that energy into the fourth, opening with a 7-0 run to cut the Spurs’ lead to seven points with 9:02 on the clock.

From here, Minnesota tightened its grip on Wembanyama as it held on to the comeback win. Edwards topped Minnesota with 23 points, while Reiz collected 17 markers anchored on 3-of-6 from downtown. Donte DiVincenzo came up with 19 points.
The two teams will face off again for their third regular season game on Sunday, January 18, at the Frost Bank Center.
