The Dallas Mavericks stunned the New York Knicks, 114-97, during their 2025-26 NBA regular season meeting on Tuesday morning (PH time) at Madison Square Garden.
The Mavericks hit the ground running, distancing themselves early with a massive offensive surge that led to a 75-47 cushion at halftime. Still playing without several key starters, Dallas relied on their young depth to dismantle a New York defense that struggled to find its footing at home.
Max Christie led the charge for Dallas, finishing with a team-high 26 points and 6 rebounds. Rookie sensation Cooper Flagg also came up huge after recording 18 markers and 7 boards.
While New York trimmed the lead slightly in the third quarter, the Mavericks' early lead was too large to overcome, allowing Dallas to cruise through the final minutes of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day matchup.
With the win, Dallas improved to 18-26 on the season. They will look to extend their winning streak to four games when they face the Golden State Warriors on Friday morning.
