Kai Sotto set for Japan B.League comeback
Filipino center Kai Sotto is set to make his return to the Japan B.League after sitting out a year to recover from an ACL injury he suffered in 2025.
The 7-foot-3 big man fueled excitement after posting a photo of himself on Instagram this Friday donning the Koshigaya Alphas jersey, signaling his comeback. “Year 5. I'm back. #comebackyear,” Sotto wrote on the post's caption.
His return is expected to provide a major lift for the Alphas, who are currently sitting in 20th place with a 10–20 win-loss record.
Sotto rejoined Koshigaya last year, marking his third year in the Japanese league and his fifth overall international basketball.
Despite being named to the Asian All-Star team, Sotto chose to skip the league’s All-Star weekend festivities earlier this January as he continues to focus on his full return to competitive action.
