Giannis Antetokounmpo has reportedly informed the Milwaukee Bucks that he believes it may be time for both sides to move on, making a blockbuster trade increasingly likely after more than 12 years with the franchise.

According to ESPN insider Shams Charania, the two-time MVP is open to finding a new home ahead of the Feb. 5 NBA trade deadline or during the offseason, with multiple rival teams already making aggressive offers. League sources indicate that Milwaukee has begun listening to those proposals.

Charania also noted that Antetokounmpo had been quietly evaluating his future with the Bucks as early as December. Despite the uncertainty, the 31-year-old remains firmly in his prime, averaging 28.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game this season while shooting an elite 64.5% from the field and 39.5% from three-point range.

Several teams have emerged as serious suitors, with the Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, New York Knicks, and Golden State Warriors among those expressing strong interest, per league sources.

Antetokounmpo is eligible to sign a four-year, $275 million supermax extension in October. If no extension is reached, he could opt out of his $62.8 million player option and become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2027.

Charania added that Milwaukee has already received multiple substantial trade offers, including packages centered around former All-Star players and significant draft capital, underscoring the magnitude of a potential deal involving the franchise cornerstone.
