The Detroit Pistons finished their three-game road trip on the West Coast on a winning note, beating the Golden State Warriors 131-124 on Saturday (PH time) at the Chase Center. Six players scored in double figures for the Pistons, who finally snapped their four-game losing skid against the Warriors dating back to the 2023-24 season.

The victory didn’t come easy for the Pistons, who saw their double-digit lead evaporate in the fourth quarter. Detroit led 117-104 when Golden State suddenly unleashed a 10-0 run to cut the deficit to three points with 6:19 remaining in the contest. That was the closest the Warriors got to the Pistons’ lead, though, as Detroit held on for its 16th away win of the season.

Cade Cunningham led Detroit to victory, posting his 25th double-double of the season with 29 points and 11 assists. Jalen Duren matched his double-double feat, scoring 21 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Duncan Robinson added 15 points on 5-for-10 shooting from deep, while Isaiah Stewart delivered 14 points off the bench.

Stephen Curry scored 23 points for the Warriors, who have now lost four of their last six games. Golden State remains in eighth place in the Western Conference standings with a 27-23 record. Detroit moved 5.5 games ahead of New York and Boston for first place in the Eastern Conference following the road win.

Why would a coach take out the best player in the final quarters to maintain a pod? Unacceptable.

After watching this game, it feels like the Warriors are stronger than the Lakers. The Lakers basically give up when they're down 20 points, especially against strong teams like the Pistons. The Warriors almost made a comeback without Curry, and their defensive efficiency is also ranked in the top ten in the league. It's just that the team currently lacks players who can hit clutch shots.

To be honest, apart from Curry, none of the Warriors players are valuable!

Trade Curry + Green for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Even I, a Golden State Warriors fan, can't stand it anymore
