"The Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Clippers have had advanced discussions on a deal that would send James Harden to Cleveland in exchange for Darius Garland, sources tell Sports Illustrated," Mannix wrote in his report.
Shortly after Mannix's report surfaced, ESPN’s Shams Charania broke the news that Harden and the Clippers "are working through whether the sides can find a deal" ahead of the NBA’s trade deadline on February 5.
Harden has missed the Clippers’ last two games against Phoenix and Philadelphia due to personal reasons. It remains to be seen whether he has played his last game for Los Angeles.
