Damian Lillard made history on Sunday (PH time), becoming the third NBA player to win the 3-Point Contest three times in his career. He joined Larry Bird and Craig Hodges on the exclusive list after he defeated Devin Booker and Kon Knueppel in the final round.

The Portland Trail Blazers star, who has yet to play a single game this season due to an Achilles injury he suffered in last year’s NBA Playoffs, stamped his class in the final round with a 29-point performance.
The victory didn’t come easy, though, for Lillard as Booker made him sweat in the final round. Booker erupted for 27 points with three money balls remaining in the final rack. He needed just one of those to tie Lillard’s output, but failed to convert each one of them to hand Lillard the win.

Kon Knueppel ran out of steam, scoring just 17 points in the final round. He had earlier scored 27 points in the first round.
