The Denver Nuggets returned to winning ways on Thursday (PH time), securing an emphatic 103-84 victory over the Boston Celtics at Ball Arena. The Nuggets used a second-half outburst to pull off the come-from-behind victory and improve their record to 37-22.
The Nuggets woke up after trailing 47-48 at the half, outscoring the Celtics 30-19 in the third quarter to build a 77-67 lead entering the final period. Denver continued to pile on the pressure in the fourth quarter, outscoring Boston 26-17 to capture its 16th home win of the season.
Nikola Jokic dominated in this contest, amassing 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists in 33 minutes of action. He shot 11-for-28 from the field, including 4-of-13 from beyond the arc. He stepped up in the absence of Jamal Murray, who exited the game in the first quarter due to illness.
Jaylen Brown scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Celtics, who had their four-game winning streak snapped. Boston fell to 38-20 following the road loss.
