AeronnShikii joins Team Liquid PH

Team Liquid PH tapped the services of Indonesian gold laner Sultan "AeronnShikii" Muhammad to boost its three-peat campaign for the upcoming MPL Philippines Season 17, the team announced on Wednesday night.

AeronnShikii is the second Indonesian player to be signed by an MPL Philippines squad this season, with Clayton “Savero” Kuswanto moving to ONIC Philippines following the exit of Duane Pillas.

The 20-year-old gold laner, who came from Team Liquid ID, will replace Kiel “OHEB” Soriano, who was recently put to the squad’s inactive list.

“I’m really having fun [here] in the Philippines. I love Philippines. I feel like I’m very happy and very chill. I don’t know why I’m very chill, because I think [we’re] so close to each other,” said the former MPL ID champion.

“So yeah, we can win. I don’t see my teammates as GOATs, I just see my teammates as my friends,’ he added.

AeronnShikii will be joining a battle-tested core composed of Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya, Alston “Sanji” Pabico, and Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz in the lineup.

Team Liquid PH also welcomed Singaporean coach Wei Sheng "Aeon" Ong, who will take the reins of the squad following the departures of Archie “TicTac” Reyes and Rodel “Ar Sy” Cruz.
