The Minnesota Timberwolves finally snapped their three-game losing skid, securing a 127-117 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday (PH time) at Chase Center. Anthony Edwards scored 42 points for the Wolves, who moved into a tie for fifth place with the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference standings with a 41-26 record.

The Wolves pulled away in the second quarter, outscoring the Warriors 38-20 during that period to build a commanding 69-48 advantage at the half. Edwards took over for Minnesota during the opening half, recording 20 points, 6 rebounds, and three assists in the first two quarters.
The Warriors fought back in the third quarter, outscoring the Wolves 39-31 to cut the deficit to 13 points entering the final period. A 10-2 run from Golden State in the fourth quarter saw Minnesota’s lead shrink to seven points with 8:37 left in the contest.

The Wolves kept the Warriors at bay the rest of the way, though, as they cruised to their 19th away win of the season. Edwards, who also had 8 rebounds and 5 assists, shot 13-for-22 from the field and a perfect 12-for-12 from the free-throw line.
Brandin Podziemski scored a team-high 25 points for the Warriors, who fell to 32-34 after the home loss. Kristaps Porzingis also had a solid offensive outing, scoring 20 points on 7-for-16 shooting.
