Glenn Khobuntin and Jaylen Johnson have been sanctioned for throwing punches during their intense Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) 50 Commissioner's Cup game between TNT and Rain or Shine last Friday.

Khobuntin was suspended for two games and fined P70,000, while Johnson was suspended for one game and fined P50,000 after the two were summoned on Saturday.

Khobuntin will miss TNT's next games against NLEX on Sunday and San Miguel on March 28.

Johnson will be out for Rain or Shine's next game against Meralco on Friday.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said Khobuntin and Johnson were apologetic when he met the two.

“Sobrang nagsisisi. Maluha-luha (He expressed his regret. He was nearly in tears),” said Marcial.

“Nagpapa-sorry siya kay Johnson at saka sa lahat, sa fans, sa PBA family. Mag-apologize din siya sa mga teammates niya pagpunta niya ng practice. (He apologized to Johnson and to the fans and the PBA family. He will apologize to his teammates as well in practice),” said Marcial.
