Alex Eala got off to a strong start in her third-round match against Magda Linette in the 2026 Miami Open on Sunday (PH time), taking the opening set by a score of 6-3 on Grandstand Court at Hard Rock Stadium.
 
Eala needed just 40 minutes to win the first set. She grabbed the crucial break in the eighth game of the first set before closing it out in the following game to move one step closer to advancing to the round of 16 of the WTA 1000 tournament.
