Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao still praised Blackwater after the Elastopainters thoroughly thrashed Bossing 151-95 in the PBA 50 Commissioner's Cup last Tuesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
It was a historic victory for the Elastopainters as they surpassed the 55-point winning margin set by U/Tex against Great Taste in the 1980 Open Conference semifinals.

"Coach Jeff [Cariaso] had a bad night with his team, but that's not their real game," said Guiao in the post-game press conference. "They beat Magnolia last game, so we approached this game very cautiously."
"I told the team in the dugout, if by the fourth quarter, Blackwater is close to us in the scores, we will have a problem, we will have to grind this game out," Guiao added.
"Good thing we were able to dominate early on." The Elastopainters set the tone for the historic win by building a commanding 75-44 advantage at the half.

The win also solidified the Elastopainters' position atop the conference standings as they remain the league's only unbeaten team with a 4-0 record.
