After an unsuccessful bid to compete in the MPL Philippines, Indonesian gold laner Sultan “AeronnShikii” Muhammad has moved to Malaysia to join AC Esports, Team Liquid PH announced Tuesday.

Team Liquid has loaned AeronnShikii—who remains under contract with the reigning MPL PH champions—to AC Esports, which is currently competing in the first round of MPL Malaysia Season 17.

“It’s never easy putting this into words, especially for someone who’s given so much of himself to the team, to the game, and to all of us. From the moment you joined, you fit right in. You brought your energy, your presence, and created memories with the team that we’ll always carry with us,” the team said in a statement.

“Now, as you take this next step in your journey to Malaysia, we want you to know this isn’t goodbye. It’s just another chapter for you to grow, to chase more, and to show the world what we’ve always believed in.”

AeronnShikii joined Team Liquid late in the offseason following the sudden resignation of Kiel “OHEB” Soriano, who has since transitioned to Honor of Kings and is currently involved in a legal dispute with his former MPL team.

However, the 20-year-old gold laner never got the opportunity to suit up for the squad due to administrative requirements that would only make him eligible to play in the latter part of the ongoing MPL Philippines Season 17—a timeline the team could not afford.

Kim “Daiki” Sebanes took over the starting gold laner role for Team Liquid PH in the opening week, before the team promoted Dave “Teddyqt” Viana the following week to occupy the starting spot.

Team Liquid PH is currently leading the MPL PH regular season standings with a 6-0 record.

Meanwhile, AeronnShikii joins an AC Esports side currently struggling in MPL Malaysia, holding a 1-3 record tied with Team Flash for sixth place.

Team Liquid PH wished AeronnShikii well as he begins his stint with his new squad, expressing confidence that the loan move will provide him with valuable playing time and experience moving forward.
