The Orlando Magic pulled off a 112-101 upset over the Detroit Pistons in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference first-round series on Monday morning (PH time) in Detroit.
Orlando seized control in the second half, dictating the tempo after building a comfortable lead in the third quarter against the favored Pistons.

Wendell Carter Jr. delivered the finishing blows late, converting a strong basket inside with 40 seconds left before adding a fastbreak slam to put the game out of reach.
It was a complete team effort from the Magic, with all five starters scoring in double figures. Paolo Banchero led the way with 23 points, nine rebounds, and four assists, while Franz Wagner added 19 points.

Desmond Bane and Carter Jr. chipped in 17 points each, while Jalen Suggs contributed 16.
With the win, Orlando takes a 1-0 series lead. Game 2 is set for Thursday.
