Mikey Williams battled against TNT for the first time since the ballclub traded him to Converge prior to the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) 50 Commissioner's Cup.
Williams had 13 points to contribute to Converge's 97-92 win over TNT last Wednesday. But three years ago, Williams led TNT to the 2023 Governors' Cup title after beating Barangay Ginebra in the series and capture the Finals MVP.
Williams said he will forever have a special bond with TNT even though he is no longer with the team.

“It's always heartfelt. I went to battle with those guys across the other side of the floor. It's always good seeing everybody. No love lost. It's a new home for me now,” said Williams.
Williams also got a very brief moment with TNT coach Chot Reyes after the ballgame.
“Just a quick ‘Good game, coach,’” said Williams.
Williams' performance got Converge back into the hunt for a quarterfinal berth with a 3-6 win-loss record. Williams is now focusing on Phoenix Super LPG as they face each other on Sunday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Converge is currently on the outside looking in as the FiberXers are one game behind eighth place San Miguel.
“We've got to approach it like we did (against TNT). We just have to keep fighting and find a way. We know it's do-or-die the next couple of games,” said Williams.
