The Oklahoma City Thunder inched closer to a series sweep after they recorded a 121-109 victory over the Phoenix Suns in Game 3 of their first-round showdown in the 2026 Western Conference Playoffs on Sunday (PH time) at Mortgage Matchup Center.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander erupted for a game-high 42 points for the Thunder, who grabbed a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
SGA stepped up in the absence of Jalen Williams, who was sidelined because of a hamstring injury. He shot 15-for-18 from the field and 11-of-12 from the free-throw line in Game 3. He also had 8 assists and 4 rebounds.
Ajay Mitchell and Alex Caruso also contributed for the defending NBA champs, scoring 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Dillon Brooks led the Suns' offense, scoring 33 points in a losing effort. Fil-Am Jalen Green added 26 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds.
Devin Booker, who was fined $35K for his furious rant about the officiating in Game 2, finished with 16 points in Game 3.
Game 4 will be held on Tuesday, April 28, in Phoenix.
