Anthony Edwards was forced to leave the game after suffering a left knee hyperextension during the Minnesota Timberwolves’ playoff clash with the Denver Nuggets.
The injury occurred with 2:46 remaining in the second quarter when Edwards collided with Cameron Johnson while attempting to contest a shot. Johnson landed awkwardly on Edwards’ left knee, causing it to bend unnaturally. Edwards was unable to walk off on his own and had to be helped to the locker room by teammates.
The Timberwolves were already dealing with another setback, as Donte DiVincenzo exited earlier with a right calf injury.
Before going down, Edwards was struggling to find his rhythm offensively. He logged 17 minutes and 30 seconds in the first half, shooting just 1-of-8 from the field, finishing with 5 points and 3 rebounds.
His status moving forward will be a major concern for Minnesota as the series continues.

No no no. That's one of only few exciting NBA players I'm fond of. That's sad. Get well #AntMan ๐ฅฒ๐ฅฒ๐ฅฒ
