Clinging to a one-point lead in the final minutes, Tyrese Maxey delivered the defining sequence, scoring back-to-back buckets to push the Sixers ahead by five before calmly knocking down clutch free throws to seal the win.
Philadelphia controlled much of the contest, building a lead that reached as high as 18 in the third quarter. Boston mounted a late rally to cut the deficit to one with eight minutes left, setting up a tense back-and-forth finish.
The Celtics were without Jayson Tatum, who missed Game 7 after exiting Game 6 due to injury.
