Joel Embiid delivered a masterpiece performance to power the Philadelphia 76ers past the Boston Celtics, 109-100, in Game 7 and into the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Embiid set the tone from the opening tip, showcasing elite efficiency and all-around impact. He came out firing in the first quarter, going 5-of-7 from the field for 10 points while adding 4 rebounds and 5 assists to help Philadelphia build early control.
In the second quarter, as Boston clawed back to within three, Embiid responded on both ends. He converted a crucial and-one, then delivered a momentum-shifting defensive play—rejecting a dunk attempt by Jaylen Brown just before halftime to preserve the lead.
After the break, Embiid continued to impose his will, adding 8 points and 5 rebounds in the third to stretch the advantage back to double digits.
The fourth quarter turned into a battle, and once again, Embiid answered the call. With the Celtics closing to within one, he knocked down a clutch three-pointer to steady the Sixers. Moments later, after Brown trimmed it back again, Embiid calmly sank key free throws to help seal the win.
He finished with a dominant 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists, anchoring both ends of the floor. Even while visibly dealing with a knee issue, Embiid battled through every possession, delivering a defining Game 7 performance to send Philadelphia forward.
