The Minnesota Timberwolves will be without Anthony Edwards for Game 1 of their second-round playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs, according to Shams Charania.
Charania reported that Edwards has been active in team practices over the weekend and traveled with the squad to San Antonio, signaling progress in his recovery. A return is being eyed around Game 3 or Game 4.
Edwards suffered a left knee hyperextension along with a bone bruise during Minnesota’s first-round series against the Denver Nuggets. Since then, he has undergone intensive, around-the-clock treatment, with the team optimistic about his availability later in the series.
Meanwhile, Ayo Dosunmu is listed as questionable for Game 1 due to right calf soreness. He previously missed the Timberwolves’ series-clinching win over Denver.
