The third-seeded New York Knicks and the No. 7 seed Philadelphia 76ers will square off in the 2026 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals starting on Tuesday (PH time).

Head-to-head matchups in 2025-26 season
The regular season series between New York and Philadelphia finished with each team taking two victories apiece. The Sixers won their first two meetings at Madison Square Garden, beating the Knicks by an average of 10 points.

The Knicks responded by winning their next two road games against the Sixers to salvage a 2-2 split in their season series. New York defeated Philadelphia 112-109 on Jan. 25 before the Knicks crushed the 76ers 138-89 in their final showdown on Feb. 12.
Key Players
Jalen Brunson made sure New York’s playoff run got off to a solid start, averaging 26.3 points and 6.2 assists per game in the first round against Atlanta. He put up solid numbers against Philly during the regular season, averaging 23.0 points, 5.8 assists, and 4.8 rebounds through four games.

Tyrese Maxey also was phenomenal for Philadelphia in the first round of this year’s playoffs, averaging 26.9 points, 6.6 assists, and 4.9 rebounds in the seven-game series. He saved the best for last in Game 7, erupting for 30 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists in the Sixers’ 109-100 win over the Celtics.
Maxey loved playing against New York during the regular season, averaging 30.0 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.8 rebounds through four games.
