The Detroit Pistons protected home court once again, defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers, 107-97, in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal clash on Friday morning (PH time) at Little Caesars Arena.
Detroit came out firing on all cylinders and built a double-digit advantage late in the first half before Cleveland mounted a comeback in the third quarter.

The Cavaliers cut the deficit to one, but Daniss Jenkins beat the buzzer with a timely three-pointer to restore a four-point lead entering the fourth.
Cleveland briefly grabbed the lead early in the final period after a quick 6-0 burst forced Detroit to call timeout. The Pistons answered with a rally of their own and regained control behind the steady play of Cade Cunningham.
Every time the Cavaliers threatened to get closer, Cunningham responded with timely buckets to keep them at bay.
Holding a six-point lead late, Ausar Thompson delivered a crucial tip-in to stretch the advantage to eight. Moments later, Thompson came up with a huge defensive play, stripping James Harden to shut down Cleveland’s final push.
