Dabao commits to San Beda

San Beda University secured the commitment of one of high school basketball’s top stars as De La Salle Zobel ace Maco Dabao will suit up for the Red Lions starting Season 102 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) men’s basketball tournament later this year.
The 5-foot-11 guard, who averaged 17.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.5 steals for the Junior Archers in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 88 high school basketball tournament, will have five years of eligibility.
The 19-year-old previously earned a spot in the Season 88 Mythical Five and is now looking to replicate that feat in the country’s oldest collegiate league as San Beda eyes a title retention bid.
Dabao will join fellow young stars Andrei Uggadan and Joaquin Wagan, who are also set to make their collegiate debuts for San Beda in Season 102.
