Wemby makes history in Spurs' Game 5 win vs Wolves image
By Joel Reyes

Victor Wembanyama entered the record books on Wednesday (PH time) after he produced a towering performance in San Antonio's Game 5 win over Minnesota in their Western Conference Semifinals series on Wednesday (PH time) at Frost Bank Center.

Wembanyama recorded 27 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, and three blocks to lead the Spurs to a dominant 126-97 win over the Wolves. He became the third youngest player in NBA history to record at least 25 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists in a postseason game, trailing only Magic Johnson (20 years and 276 days) and Luka Dončić (21 years and 177 days) in that exclusive list.

The Frenchman also made history in the first half when he amassed 21 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks in the first two quarters of Game 5. He is the first player since Tim Duncan in 2003 to record that kind of stat line in a playoff half for San Antonio.
