Rain or Shine maintained a slim 57-56 halftime advantage over San Miguel this Friday in the PBA 50 Commissioner's Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
The Elasto Painters nearly fumbled the lead following an eight-point spurt from the Beermen, highlighted by a corner triple from Marcio Lassiter with four seconds remaining in the second quarter.
ROS controlled a 74-40 lead following an 8-0 spurt from midway in the second canto, setting the stage for the San Miguel rally before the bell.
Import Jaylen Johnson and Adrian Nocum carried the scoring cudgels for Rain or Shine with 14 points each. Bennie Boatwright and CJ Perez paced San Miguel with an identical 14-point contribution.
