Andrei Caracut scored 29 points and Rain or Shine defeated San Miguel, 113-104, on Friday to advance to the semifinals of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) 50 Commissioner's Cup at the Ynares Center, Antipolo City.

The Elasto Painters made full use of their twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals to proceed to the next phase of the tournament where they will face either Barangay Ginebra or Phoenix Super LPG.

Caracut knocked down a four-point shot to increase Rain or Shine's lead to 105-97, which the Elasto Painters later kept until the end.

The loss puts San Miguel's campaign to an end after winning the Philippine Cup title last conference.
