Ronda Rousey delivered a rapid submission victory over Gina Carano in the main event of the first mixed martial arts (MMA) card staged by Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, streamed live in the Philippines on Sunday.

The much-anticipated super-fight, which matched two pioneers from different eras, ended in just 17 seconds.

Rousey immediately closed the distance at the opening bell and secured a double-leg takedown, bringing Carano to the mat before she could establish position.

From top control, “Rowdy” advanced quickly into full mount, applying pressure and limiting any space for recovery.

Carano attempted to create a scramble by fishing for a guillotine choke, but the maneuver exposed her arm in the process.

Rousey reacted instantly, isolating the limb and transitioning into an armbar. Once fully extended, Carano tapped without delay, ending the contest almost as soon as it began.

Despite the swift conclusion, the bout carried significant symbolic weight as both athletes had never met during their prime competitive years.

The matchup drew attention as a crossover moment between early women’s MMA eras and the modern promotional push led by Most Valuable Player.

After the stoppage, both competitors shared a brief but respectful embrace inside the cage, acknowledging the historic nature of the encounter.

Meanwhile, the co-main event saw Mike Perry defeat Nate Diaz via doctor stoppage at the end of the second round.

A cut opened near Diaz’s right eye, and sustained ground-and-pound in round two forced the cageside physician to halt the contest at the five-minute mark.

On the undercard, Francis Ngannou delivered a first-round knockout of Philipe Lins at 4:31 after overwhelming him with heavy shots and a finishing left hand.

In another featured bout, Adriano Moraes secured a dramatic technical submission win over short-notice opponent Phumi Nkuta at 4:59 of round three.

The finish came during a late scramble, with officials later confirming the stoppage after review by the California State Athletic Commissi
