The San Antonio Spurs entered the halftime break with a 51-44 lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday (PH time) at Paycom Center.
Victor Wembanyama starred for the Spurs in the first half, posting a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Stephon Castle also contributed with 11 points and 4 assists.
Dylan Harper added 7 points for the Spurs, who missed the services of De'Aaron Fox due to an ankle injury.
San Antonio didn't mind his absence, racing to a 12-3 lead in the first quarter. OKC battled right back, though, finishing the period on a 24-15 run to tie the game at 27-27.
The Spurs regained control in the second quarter, outscoring the Thunder 24-17 during that period.
Alex Caruso led OKC in scoring, dropping 16 points off the bench. Jalen Williams also delivered in his return to the lineup, scoring 12 points.
