Barangay Ginebra seized a 49-42 halftime advantage over Rain or Shine in Game 1 of their PBA 50 Commissioner's Cup semifinals series this Wednesday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
The Gin Kings trailed the game by as many as 13 points in the opening quarter, but a 10-0 run in the second canto allowed Ginebra surge forward with a 39-36 advantage. Nardz Pinto exclamated Ginebra's comeback with a triple at the end of the second quarter.
Justin Brownlee performed an all-around effort of nine points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block.
The Tim Cone-mentored squad leaned on a strong second quarter performance from the Ginebra shocktroopers. Jeremiah Gray had eight points, including a four-pointer that bolstered the Gin Kings' rally. Troy Rosario also grabbed five markers.
