The New York Knicks entered the halftime break with a commanding 68-49 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday (PH time) at Rocket Arena.
The Knicks got off to a strong start, building a 38-26 lead after the first quarter. They continued to pile on the pressure in the second quarter, extending their lead to 29 points at one stage.
The Cavaliers showed some life late in the first half, though, finishing the second quarter on a 17-7 run to cut the deficit to 19 points.
Landry Shamet led the scoring for New York with 11 points off the bench. Starters Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges, and Jalen Brunson also contributed with 10 points apiece.
Donovan Mitchell powered Cleveland's offense with a game-high 20 points. James Harden added 12 points for the Cavs, who need a second-half comeback to avoid the sweep.
A victory for New York in Game 4 would see them advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999.
