JUST IN: Eala, Mboko withdraw from 2026 French Open women's doubles image
By Joel Reyes

Alex Eala's 2026 French Open campaign has officially come to an end after the Filipina tennis star withdrew from the women's doubles tournament alongside partner Victoria Mboko on Wednesday.

They were set to face Leylah Fernandez and Diana Shnaider in the Round of 64 at Roland Garros, but announced their withdrawal before their match was set to take place on Court 10.

It was a short-lived stint in Paris for Eala, who lost to Iva Jovic in the first round of the women's singles at Roland Garros last Tuesday.

Eala now shifts her attention to the grass court season, which will begin immediately after the French Open concludes.
