Chris McCullough vowed to play better in Game 5 despite a relatively good showing in his TNT debut on Wednesday night.
The comebacking Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) import had 24 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and three blocks in the Tropang 5G’s 101-90 loss to the Bolts in his first game since replacing Bol Manute Bol.
The Tropang 5G were forced into a 2-2 tie in the Commissioner’s Cup semifinal series with the defeat. Game 5 will happen on Friday, 5:15 p.m. at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
McCullough said he still needs a couple of more days to become his utmost best, having not played an official game in almost two weeks.
The former San Miguel import previously played in Taiwan and was coming off a stint in the playoffs.
“I didn’t play basketball for 13 days. It’s my first time to pick up a basketball in 13 days. I’m still getting my rhythm, getting my flow. But once I get going, it’ll be scary,” McCullough said.
