The San Antonio Spurs got off to a great start in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals, building a 32-25 lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder after the first quarter of their winner-take-all contest on Sunday (PH time) at Paycom Center.
Stephon Castle led the way for San Antonio, scoring 9 points in the first 12 minutes of play. Devin Vassell and Julian Champagnie also contributed, scoring 7 and 6 points, respectively.
Victor Wembanyama, who opened the scoring in Game 7, had 5 points in the first quarter.
Jared McCain led OKC in scoring with 8 points off the bench. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 6 points and 3 assists for the Thunder, who are looking to return to the NBA Finals for the second straight year.
