Indonesian gold laner Clayton “Savero” Kuswanto expressed his desire to remain with ONIC PH after a stellar campaign in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 17.
Savero, who became just the second import to play in MPL Philippines after Korean player Brian “Panda” Lim, exceeded expectations in his first season in the league, helping ONIC PH to a third-place finish after falling to Team Falcons PH in the lower bracket finals.
The 18-year-old gold laner said he enjoys the challenge of competing in the strongest region in MLBB and is embracing the pressure that comes with it, while also expressing his goal of eventually winning a championship in the Philippines.
“I want to stay here and win an MPL PH title because there are many strong teams here. It’s more exciting to play here,” Savero said after their lower bracket finals loss.

Savero was brought in by ONIC PH after the team’s mother organization secured star Filipino gold laner Duane “Kelra” Pillas, prompting the roster move that paved the way for the young import’s arrival and opportunity in the MPL PH.
He initially faced a communication barrier upon joining the squad, but steadily adapted through the support of his teammates and coaching staff.
ONIC PH later settled into its form, finishing the elimination round with a 9-5 record before capping its campaign with a third-place finish in the playoffs.
Savero vowed to come back stronger next season, determined to build on his experience and push for an even better finish with the team.
“Sorry the results were bad. We will come back stronger next season.”
