The New York Knicks will have their first opportunity to capture the NBA championship when they face the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on June 14. New York holds a commanding 3-1 series lead and sits just one victory away from its first title since 1973, while San Antonio must win to keep its season alive.
Game 4 delivered one of the most remarkable comebacks in NBA Finals history. The Spurs raced to a 41-22 lead after the first quarter and carried a 76-49 advantage into halftime, marking the largest halftime lead ever held by a road team in the Finals. However, the Knicks stormed back behind Jalen Brunson, who finished with 36 points and seven assists. OG Anunoby capped the rally with a putback basket with 1.2 seconds remaining to give New York a stunning 107-106 victory.

Despite dealing with injuries, the Knicks continue to find ways to win. Brunson is playing through knee and ankle issues, Karl-Anthony Towns remains hampered by a knee injury, and Mitchell Robinson is managing a fractured pinky finger. Even so, New York has maintained its composure in clutch situations throughout the series.
For San Antonio, Victor Wembanyama has been outstanding, averaging 24 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks per game in the Finals. The Spurs will need greater contributions from De'Aaron Fox, Devin Vassell, and Stephon Castle while avoiding the prolonged scoring droughts that have plagued them in key moments.

With both teams now fully familiar with each other's game plans, adjustments will be critical. The Spurs are expected to play with desperation on their home floor, while the Knicks know a championship is within reach. After four physical games, fatigue could also become a factor, potentially creating more scoring opportunities for both offenses.
Prediction: Over 217.5 Points
