Alex Eala will resume her campaign at the 2026 Berlin Tennis Open on Saturday night (PH time), with the Filipina star set to face No. 8 seed Linda Noskova in the semifinals at the Rot-Weiss Tennis Club.
Steffi Graf Stadion will host the blockbuster showdown, with the matchup set to start at 8 p.m. tonight (PH time). A victory here will see Eala record her second final appearance on grass this season.
Eala is coming off another upset win, beating World No. 8 Elina Svitolina 6-3, 6-4 in the quarterfinals.
The Quezon City native followed up her shock win over World No. 2 Elena Rybakina with another outstanding performance in the quarters, blasting 19 winners and converting 5 of her 10 break-point opportunities against Svitolina.

It won't get any easier for Eala as she will next face an in-form Noskova, who has lost a total of just 13 games in her previous three matches in Berlin. The Czech star booked her place in the semis with ease, defeating Paula Badosa 6-1, 6-3 in just 68 minutes in the quarterfinals.
This will be the second meeting between Eala and Noskova on the WTA Tour, with the Czech holding a 1-0 advantage in their head-to-head matchup. Noskova destroyed Eala 6-2, 6-0 in their last meeting in the Round of 16 at Indian Wells.
Eala will fancy her chances of beating Noskova this time around as she is 9-1 on grass this season, including three consecutive upset victories in this WTA 500 tournament.
