The Minnesota Timberwolves completed a come-from-behind win against the Los Angeles Clippers, spoiling James Harden’s historic night with a 109–106 victory on Sunday (PH time) at Target Center in Minneapolis.
Despite a strong first half from the Clippers — who led by as many as 18 points — Minnesota mounted a remarkable comeback and never looked back. The win extended the Wolves’ winning streak to five games while handing the Clippers their seventh loss in eight outings.
In the final 13 seconds, Naz Reid drilled a clutch three-pointer to give Minnesota the lead, 107-104. James Harden answered with a quick basket, but his last-second three-point attempt fell short, sealing the Timberwolves’ narrow victory.
Jaden McDaniels finished with a team-high 27 points, while Julius Randle added 24.
Meanwhile, Harden powered the Clippers with a game-high 34 points, scoring 19 of them in the first half on 6-of-8 shooting.
Notably, he also surpassed Carmelo Anthony to become the 10th all-time leading scorer in NBA history.
Kawhi Leonard chipped in 20 points in the loss.
Next up, the Timberwolves face the Phoenix Suns on December 9, while the Clippers take on the Houston Rockets on December 12.
