The NBA has officially unveiled its three finalists for the Most Valuable Player award, headlined by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokić, and Victor Wembanyama.
Gilgeous-Alexander led the Oklahoma City Thunder with a stellar all-around season, averaging 31.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.4 steals in 33.2 minutes per game, while shooting an efficient 55.3% from the field, 38.6% from three, and 87.9% from the line.
Jokić continued his dominance for the Denver Nuggets, putting up 27.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 10.7 assists per game—averaging a triple-double—along with 1.4 steals. He shot 56.9% from the field, 38.0% from beyond the arc, and 83.1% on free throws.
Meanwhile, Wembanyama anchored the San Antonio Spurs with a historic two-way campaign, averaging 25.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.0 steals, and 3.1 blocks per game. He shot 51.2% from the field, 34.9% from three, and 82.7% from the free-throw line.
