The Philadelphia 76ers stunned the Boston Celtics, 111-97, in Game 2 of their first-round Eastern Conference matchup on Wednesday morning (PH time) at the TD Garden.

Coming off a blowout loss in Game 1, Philadelphia responded with urgency, seizing control in the fourth quarter behind a scorching stretch from Tyrese Maxey.

Maxey ignited the run with back-to-back triples to push the Sixers ahead, before Andre Drummond added a putback to stretch the lead to double digits. Kelly Oubre Jr. followed with a corner three as Philadelphia’s momentum snowballed.

Boston briefly answered through Jaylen Brown, but VJ Edgecombe and Maxey continued to pour it on, with the latter sealing the game with an and-one layup and a late triple.

The Celtics' offense in this game was an absolute disaster, obsessed with three-pointers, having poor screen quality, lacking help defense, and playing terribly.
