The Philadelphia 76ers stunned the Boston Celtics, 111-97, in Game 2 of their first-round Eastern Conference matchup on Wednesday morning (PH time) at the TD Garden.
Coming off a blowout loss in Game 1, Philadelphia responded with urgency, seizing control in the fourth quarter behind a scorching stretch from Tyrese Maxey.

Maxey ignited the run with back-to-back triples to push the Sixers ahead, before Andre Drummond added a putback to stretch the lead to double digits. Kelly Oubre Jr. followed with a corner three as Philadelphia’s momentum snowballed.
Boston briefly answered through Jaylen Brown, but VJ Edgecombe and Maxey continued to pour it on, with the latter sealing the game with an and-one layup and a late triple.

Edgecombe led the way with 30 points and 10 rebounds, while Maxey added 29 points and nine assists as the duo combined for 11 three-pointers.

With the win, the series is now tied at 1-1 as the Sixers steal a game on the road. Game 3 shifts to Philadelphia on Saturday.
